Can’t go to the game.

I was asked by one of my dear friends if I would go with her to a football game up in Northern California. She is a season ticket holder and an avid fan of this particular team.  I love going to do things with this friend,(why bother with names, you aren’t going to know her anyway) because we always have a great time no matter what we do.  With the way the economy is right now, I can’t just be taking joy trips here and there. I really am trying to be better at saving money and I have a trip planned to New York for New Year’s.

I wish things were different financially, I’m sure we all do. Things are so unpredictable.  I had to visit urgent care today for a bad cough I’ve had for a weeka and a half. Even though I have insurance, there was a copay and I had to fill prescriptions. It’s things like this that come up in life that deter me from going on weekend football raids.  I wish my friend would understand, and I hope that we will still be as close as we were able to get this summer.

It is the hope of this middle-class, college-aged American female, that the leaders of this nation start leading by example, no matter how it makes them look.  I’m not a political genius, but I do know when things aren’t right, and things are so not right. These people get paid all this money to sit around and let the country go to pot. It’s not right, and it’s a contributing reason of why I can’t go to the game.
